The Central CAPT is a service of the Minnesota Institute of Public
Health and is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration
(SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP).
The site provides a prevention database for states in the central region of the U.S. including North Dakota, South Dakota, Red Lake Nation, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and West Virginia and has some useful information about science-based prevention. Western CAPT (http://www.unr.edu/westcapt)
Western CAPT is a subdivision of the Central CAPT.
The site offers services for the Western region of the U.S. and provides links to Tanglewood Research, the National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information, and the American Psychological Association's Prevention Connection sites. Center for Disease Control (CDC)

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention site offers an
expansive database of information about youth risk behavior, a main
indicator of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use. Their information
package includes yearly questionnaires administered in schools,
results, and trends.

Information and resources for promoting the health and well-being of

On the NIAAA site you will find resources for programs and databases
at the federal level including upcoming conferences and events,
current press releases, publications, research reports, and a list
of alcohol treatment assessment instruments.

PrevLine - Prevention Online

Prevention Online is a service of the Substance Abuse and Mental
Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and has links to The
National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information (NCADI), and
The Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies (CAPT).
The site contains help for identifying funding and grants for projects, current research articles on ATODA, and a conference calendar. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (SAMHSA/CSAP) (http://www.samhsa.gov and http://www.samhsa.gov/csap)
CSAP and SAMHSA are federal agencies involved in improving the quality
and availability of prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation
services for ATODA.

Prevention Decision Support System (PreventionDSS) follows CSAP's
Logic Model to help you make informed decisions while planning,
