CEED provides training services to parent groups and professionals in early education, health care, social services, and mental health fields. We tailor our trainings to group and organizational needs, be it a full-day presentation for 100 or a two-hour training for staff at a child care center. Trainings can incorporate an array of training materials such as manuals, videos, demonstrations or instructional interactive CD-ROMs. Trainings are currently available on the following topics. CEED can customize a training for your site and audience. CEED trainings are available on the following topics (click on the link to read more about each training and to request a training):

Bridging Education and Mental Health

Covers topics of functional behavior assessment and relationship-based teaching models to determine what causes and sustains maladaptive behavioral patterns in young children. For early childhood professionals in education, health care, social services and mental health.

This topic also has an online course available.

Early Language and Literacy Development

Individual Growth and Development Indicators (IGDIs) and Get It! Got It! Go!

Focuses on the IGDIs--language and literacy screening and progress monitoring tools for preschool-aged children.

Introduction to Infant Mental Health

Introduces the role and function of the infant mental health specialist and the use of relationship and reflection in work with families. Participants will reflect on their own careers and be challenged to determine how they can further define their roles with families.

Positive Behavior Support

Reflective Supervision

Promotes professional development by using collegial relationships to encourage the thoughtful observation of oneself and others. The content for the training will emerge from the practice experiences of the participants.

Steps Towards Effective Enjoyable Parenting (STEEP™) & Seeing Is BelievingŪ

This topic also has an online course available.

Supporting Stressed Young Children Through Relationship-Based Teaching

Offers early childhood professionals from multiple disciplines the opportunity to learn how to use relationship-based practice to work with highly stressed children and their families. Participants will learn relationship-based classroom intervention strategies that will help to reduce challenging behaviors and anxiety.

Early Childhood Movement Consultation

Attends to the development of early childhood movement skills as being critical in addressing positive developmental trajectories and avoiding cumulative risk.

Fees and Terms

All prices listed are inclusive of training preparation and presentation, and CEED administrative fees. Prices do not include trainer travel, which the client will pay in addition to the set fee, either through the contract with CEED or directly to the trainer. Travel includes: flights, hotels, per diem meals, ground transportation, and/or mileage reimbursement, as necessary. The client will provide all materials, AV, and on-site support for the trainer.

ONE TRAINER

Base rate for up to 2 hours: $400
Each additional hour above 2 hours--billed in one-hour increments: $150
Additional flat fee if overnight is required: $500

TWO TRAINERS

Base rate for up to 2 hours: $600
Each additional hour above 2 hours--billed in one-hour increments: $225
Additional flat fee if overnight is required: $750

STEEP OR SIBŪ Training

$2000: One Day
$3500: Two Days

Combined STEEP/SIBŪ Training

The STEEP/SIBŪ certification trainings must include both the initial two-day training and follow-up consultation. For other arrangements, contact Marti Erickson at mferick@umn.edu. A STEEP Facilitator's Guide and SIBŪ Training DVD are included in the price.

$3500: Initial two-day training
$1500: Follow-up Consultation
$5000: Total STEEP
/SIBŪ Certification

Note: These prices do not include travel expenses, which are an additional expense.
