In order to meet each point of CEED's
mission statement, we actively engage in a number of grant-funded
research and training projects. Each of these projects has its own unique goals and
benefits for young children. All of these programs, worthwhile on
their own, benefit from being part of the larger entity that is CEED.
Because we all work together, there is cross-pollination between
projects, which sustains our commitment to innovation.
Here is a list of CEED projects past and
present. Click on a

Collaborations

CEED, The
Science Museum of Minnesota, and Public
Agenda are partnering on this
collaboration to engage museum visitors,
policymakers, and caregivers in
deliberations around the latest, and
often misunderstood, early childhood
development research.
CRTIEC is a collaborative effort of
the University of Kansas (Juniper Gardens Children's Project),
Ohio State University, Dynamic Measurement Group, Florida State,
and CEED/University of Minnesota, with the mission of reducing
the number of children with reading problems by increasing the
number of children entering school with knowledge and skill in
early literacy and language.
Five
Hundred Under 5 (FHu5)
is a collaborative, multidimensional effort focused on two
residential areas in North Minneapolis.
A collaboration between CEED and the
Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, the collaborative fosters
multidisciplinary research on early childhood development from
birth to age 8 and explores connections between early education
and economic development, public health, and K-12 education. The
web site also features a Discussion Paper Series.
The Minnesota Literacy Council (MLC)
is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving literacy
throughout the state. The MLC offers literacy services for
adults and at-risk children, native-English speakers and
recent immigrants, and urban and rural residents.
A community-university collaborative
effort to enhance the social and economic environment in North
Minneapolis
