Course requirements: Family specialization

Track: family, youth, and community

  • FYC track requirements
    • CI 8902—FYC in Social, Political, and Economic Context (3 cr)
    • CI 8904—FYC and Education: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives (3 cr)
  • Family specialization
    • FSOS (formerly CI) 5902—Family Education Perspectives (3 cr)
    • FSOS (formerly CI) 5906—Program Planning in Family Education (3 cr)
  • Additional 3 credits:
    • Select another 3-credit FSOS/YOST (formerly CI) 59XX or FSOS/YOST (formerly CI) 89XX course with consultation by the adviser.
  • All students are strongly encouraged to take the following courses (which will exceed the 24 credit minimum in the major).
    • CI 8161—Research I: Design & Planning (3 cr)
    • CI 8162—Research II: Analysis & Manuscript Preparation (3 cr)
  • All coursework in the program is to be selected with consultation by the adviser(s).
