What motivates me in my work?

Through my teaching and advising, I find it exciting and gratifying to help young people engage in developing their potential to make the world a better place. The time, energy, and effort they put forth inspires me to do my best for them. Through my research, I find the investigation of what others have done and the creation of new knowledge and curriculum to be both stimulating and rewarding.

What can students expect from me?

The teaching part of my job allows me to create an environment where students can learn and grow intellectually as they become life-long learners. I help, coach, and mentor them to the best of my ability as they discover who they are and what they are capable of doing. I help them appreciate not only the usefulness but the beauty of mathematics and that one person, themselves in particular, can make a positive difference at many levels for many others.
