I am a second-year doctoral student in the Child Psychology program at ICD and received my B.A. in psychology from Purdue University in 2006. I am primarily interested in the effects of relationally aggressive behavior within friendships and peer groups, especially considering outcomes such as peer acceptance and rejection, friendship quality, popularity, and conflict strategies. I’m currently working on a project examining the effects of peer group levels of relational aggression on individual levels of aggression, as well as another project using online daily diaries (or “blogs”) to examine the day-to-day effects of relationally aggressive behavior on friendships.
I enjoy watching movies with my husband, discussing trashy reality TV, traveling, whiling away on Wikipedia, and playing with our puppy Penny Lane.
