Peter is a third-year doctoral student at the Institute of Child Development, University of Minnesota. He received his B.A. in psychology from Pomona College in 2005, and his M.A. from Minnesota in 2007. Peter's research interests focus on the dynamics of peer-group popularity during adolescence, and he is interested in the ways in which aggression, cognition, and friendship affect complex interpersonal status dynamics. He is currently attempting to operationalize and define popularity in a way that brings together current theories from developmental psychology, social psychology, and sociology.
