Our Staff
All employees must pass the MN Department of Human Services-Licensing Background Check. Staff also participate in pediatric first aid, CPR, HIPPA, mandated reporting, Shaken Baby Syndrome, OSHA training, and Infant Teachers are required to be trained in Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and topics relevant to early childhood development, research and practice.
Full & Part-time Staff
Area coordinators and teacher supervisors must have at least three years of demonstrated experience teaching young children as well as supervisory experience.
Full time teaching staff are educated and/or experienced in early childhood education or early development. Full-time and most part-time staff hold degrees and/or teaching certificates or licenses.
Student Employees
UMCDC hires University of Minnesota students as child care workers (CCWs) to assist teaching staff in the classroom.
