Enroll in the Study

If you are interested in participating in the Project MARS study we invite you to :

Once we receive your teacher consent form and district support letter, you will receive an email confirmation notice. We hope to notify all participants of their randomized assignment over the 2012 summer break. If there is a home email address that you would also like us to forward this information to, please include it on your teacher consent form. If you are assigned to Cohort 1, you will be required to attend the Professional Development training scheduled for Thursday, December 6 and Friday, December 7, 2012. If you are assigned to Cohort 2, you will receive Professional Development Training the following academic year.

The Project MARS team encourages schools to consider including ALL "typical seventh-grade" math teachers from the same school to participate collectively in the study. Experience from our past studies suggest that when the entire math team participates, it offers an inherent support system and often times with better outcomes. Please feel free to encourage any of your colleagues who teach at least one typical math class to apply to the Project MARS study.

Thank you for your interest in the Project MARS study. We look forward to working with both you and your students.

Warm regards,

The Project MARS Team
