Definitions of Recruitment and RetentionIn the Literature Review and Evaluation Resource sections of this Web site, we have categorized resources according to the definitions of recruitment and retention used by the authors of the work. Recruitment generally refers to the entry of teachers into the profession, and retention to their remaining in the profession. We are developing more nuanced definitions of each using existing work and in conversation with Noyce projects. |
