Marriage & Family Therapy

The Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Program is a part of the doctoral program of the Department of Family Social Science. The mission of the MFT Program is to educate and mentor the next generation of leaders and agents of social change in the field of marriage and family therapy by working systemically with culturally diverse families and communities locally and internationally. MFT students will be trained to become world-class therapists, trainers of therapists, therapy researchers, therapy supervisors, therapy program developers, and therapy administrators.

Admission to the accredited Marriage and Family Therapy program is available only to doctoral applicants who already have obtained a clinical master's degree, or have achieved equivalent clinical experience as determined by the MFT faculty.
