Inspiring Minds video
A simple series of lectures on pedagogy in the 1880s laid the foundation for
the College of Education and Human Development as it exists today. Officially
founded on December 12, 1905, the college continues to evolve, moving from those
early lectures to a college of 4,000 students in more than 50 fields of study
related to education and human development. The college enters the 21st century
committed to meet the ever-changing needs of those who are learning and
developing, whatever their ages, and whatever the setting—home, school, work,
community. Today the college is recognized as an invaluable, world-class asset
throughout Minnesota, the nation, and across the globe.
