Online Certificate Program: Apply for CEUs
Students pursuing CEUs will earn:
- a certificate of completion from UMN
- documentation of clock hours earned for each course
Clock hours are converted to CEUs per state licensing board guidelines.
CEUs do not appear on academic transcripts. CEUs earned in this program cannot be converted to academic credit or applied to advanced degrees at the University of Minnesota.
Costs: Fees and financial aid
The cost for CEUs is approximately $375 per credit.
Federal financial aid is not available for part-time certificates. For information on private education loans, visit One-Stop Student Services.
Through support from the Irving B. Harris Foundation, we offer diversity scholarships for underrepresented students and professionals. See instructions for how to apply under "Scholarship Interest" in the Materials section below.
If you are applying to the IECMH certificate program to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs), you will apply via an online application system. All components of the application with the exception of the letters of recommendation should be submitted via this application. Please do not submit any materials by mail.
Deadline: March 16
The deadline for submitting your application and all required materials is March 16. Accepted students will begin the program in the fall semester of 2018. View the University of Minnesota's academic calendar.

Each individual or family represents a unique constellation of experiences and culture. The Irving B. Harris Foundation is committed to promoting infant and early childhood mental health through professional training and education. Limited scholarship funds are available through the Harris Foundation as part of an effort to recruit students from underrepresented populations.
