After many years of studying the effects of disorders on children’s cognitive functioning, I have now switched to studying interventions with children who have been abused or neglected.  In collaboration with a grass-roots advocacy organization in the community, I am currently examining different aspects of the child welfare system and the effectiveness of early interventions.  Please visit my research lab website (the Karatekin Lab) for more information about my research.
