Parent Education
The Lab School offers opportunities for parent education and support. Once or twice a year experts are invited to give talks on issues and topics of interest. In addition discussion groups are scheduled several times each year. These sessions are offered at various times (morning, afternoon and evening) to accommodate different schedules. Ann Ruhl Carlson, who is a licensed parent educator, facilitates most sessions. These discussion groups are very informal, and no ongoing commitment is expected or required. Parents are encouraged to attend sessions of interest to them. These discussion groups typically begin with a short presentation on the topic then opportunities for questions and open discussion. Everyone is welcome!
