Why did I choose the University of Minnesota?
The reputation of the University of Minnesota, the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport and Dr. Mary Jo Kane preceded themselves, and I knew that coming to the U of M would give me the research and academic experience I needed to further my professional goals.
Samuel Haag, Ph.D. student

Why did I choose the University of Minnesota?
I chose the University of Minnesota because I was impressed with the faculty during my visit and I felt the program would allow me to pursue research areas I was interested in. I was also offered a graduate teaching assistantship, which was a great opportunity to gain more teaching experience.
Jacqeline Kelly, M.A. student

Why did I choose the University of Minnesota?
When I first considered a graduate program in kinesiology, I knew that I wanted to have the opportunity to do research in an area of interest. The University of Minnesota offered me the opportunity to design and implement my own research and to take part in larger studies with faculty members in Kinesiology and in related fields. The location and prestige of the University of Minnesota and the smaller, collaborative network within the School of Kinesiology were attractive to me as well--the U has a lot to offer!
Jim Winges, M.S., Ph.D. student

Why did I choose the University of Minnesota?
I chose the University of Minnesota because the sport psychology program emphasis had all of the qualities I was looking for in a Ph.D. program.
