Participate in research:

Comparison of the Effectiveness of Specific Body Zone Cooling to Stabilize Comfort of Athletes Exercising at Different Intensity Levels (Dec 2006 ~ May 2007)

Subjects between the ages of 18-40 are needed for a University of Minnesota study aimed at increasing the safety of athletes and others engaging in intensive sports activities by preventing significant overheating The total time commitment for the study is 5 experimental sessions approximately 10 days apart lasting approximately 2 ½ hours.  Financial compensation will be provided ( $30 for each session and a bonus  for completing all 5 sessions). Test and Evaluation of Liquid Cooling Garments (June 2007 ~ Dec 2007)

Subjects between the ages of 25-45 are needed for a research study at the University of Minnesota comparing three different liquid cooling garments developed for extravehicular activity during space missions.  The total time commitment for the study is 6 experimental sessions approximately 10 days apart lasting approximately 2 ½ hours.  Subject payment is $25 for each session and a bonus of $150 for completing all 6 sessions, for a possible total payment of $300.  For further information, please contact Dr. Victor Koscheyev at 625-8827 or send an e-mail to extreme@umn.edu.
