Graduation Information

Commencement is the ceremony the College of Education and Human Development hosts every May to celebrate the students who have or will be graduating within the year.
Degree Clearance is the term used to indicate that the student’s APAS report indicated all curriculum requirements have been completed.
Graduation is completed when all of the student’s degree requirements have been completed and cleared by the University. Graduation/degree clearance results in a diploma.

Preparation procedures

Students who are preparing to graduate must complete the following steps, no later than the due dates listed on the Undergraduate student graduation checklist Web site.

  1. Complete the Application for Undergraduate Degree form.

  2. Turn in a copy of your CPR and First Aid certifications to Emily Kantola in 360 Education Sciences Building or to JB Becker in 220 Cooke Hall. Certifications must be current at the time of degree clearance.
  3. Review your APAS report. If it says
"PROGRAM COMPLETED IF IN PROGRESS COURSES ARE USED" or
"ALL REQUIREMENTS IDENTIFIED BELOW HAVE BEEN MET"
then you will need to print a "printer friendly version" of your APAS report, sign the last page, and turn it in to your faculty advisor (220 Cooke Hall for Brandi Hoffman).
