Associate Department Director
Responsibilities: Direct management of all campus recreation programming in the areas of climbing and outdoor adventure programs, court and lifetime sports, fitness and wellness programs, intramural sports, sport clubs, and youth and community programs (combined budget responsibilities of more than $2.0 million with a staff of more than 42 FTE, including 12 full-time and approximately 250 part-time and seasonal). Combined annual participations in the 6 program areas total more than 600,000. Responsibilities also include market research and evaluation of processes and program outcomes.
Manager of St. Paul Campus Recreation Facilities, Program Director for Intramural Sports,
and Program Director for Youth & Community Programs
Responsibilities: Areas of responsibility included St. Paul Gymnasium (56,000 square feet with pool, gymnasium, handball/racquetball and squash courts, fitness center, running track), St. Paul campus recreation facilities (4 softball fields, 3 soccer fields, 4 tennis courts), all intramural sports, all youth & community programs, departmental research, and the department’s annual report. Staff was 26 FTE, including 4 full-time and 145 part-time and seasonal. Budget responsibilities totaled $830,000. Managed the St. Paul Gymnasium addition and renovation project ($4 million).
Facilities Manager for St. Paul Campus Recreation Facilities and Program Director for Youth Programs
Responsibilities: Areas of responsibility included St. Paul campus recreation facilities (37,000 square foot St. Paul Gymnasium, 4 softball fields, 3 soccer fields, 4 tennis courts), youth programs, golf leagues and lessons, departmental research, and the department’s annual report. Staff was 12 FTE and budget responsibilities totaled $440,000. Conceived, planned, developed, and implemented University Youth Programs (which now accept more than 3,500 annual registrations and generate $500,000 per year). Headed the revision of plans and fundraising for $4 million addition and renovation of St. Paul Gymnasium.
Intramural Sports Director
Responsibilities: Managed 2,500 team, 400 league intramural sports program. Budget responsibility was $195,000. Staff of 14 FTE (1 full-time and 125 part-time employees).
Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy/Cybex Center, La Crosse, Wisconsin
Fitness Director
Responsibilities: Managed 5,000 square foot fitness center that was part of a sports medicine clinic. Established, implemented, and supported operating policies and procedures. Planned, implemented, and evaluated marketing strategies. Developed and managed annual operating budgets. Supervised maintenance and custodial. Managed staff of 16. Conducted exercise testing and musculoskeletal evaluations. Devised strength training and conditioning programs. Performed nutritional analyses and personal training.

Co-Director
Directed eight-week resident youth sports camp of 150 campers and staff. Planned activities, trained and supervised staff, counseled campers, managed parent communications.

Planned, equipped, staffed, marketed, and budgeted for a new club. Established and implemented all operational policies and procedures. Planned all programs. Supervised 2 full-time and 8 part-time employees.
