State Accountability Policies

States submit their accountability plans to the U.S. Department of Education for approval. Past and currently approved plans are posted at this ed.gov Web site: http://www.ed.gov/admins/lead/account/stateplans03/index.html

In addition, states receive decision letters from the U.S. Department of Education regarding their proposed plans. These are posted at this ed.gov Web site: http://www.ed.gov/admins/lead/account/letters/index.html

Related information about the status of each state's assessment system which these plans reference are contained in decision letters from the U.S. Department of Education at this ed.gov Web site: http://www.ed.gov/admins/lead/account/nclbfinalassess/index.html. Please note the date and sequence of these plans and letters.
