Community Organization/Evaluation Field Trip

This new MESI Spring Training component provides experienced evaluators and students of evaluation an opportunity to visit three local community organizations to:
  • Learn about local programs and their evaluation approaches and needs
  • Understand how programs adapt, modify, and create evaluation strategies to use evaluation results
  • Learn community cultural contexts and responsive evaluation approaches
  • Share evaluation challenges and strategies with members of the evaluation community, leaders of programs/organizations based in the community, and learn from other attendees.
  • Co-create evaluative ideas and thinking with organization staff, professional evaluators, and students by
    • Considering effective, often unpublished evaluation strategies created in response to organizational and participant contexts
    • Examining ways to effectively adapt and use evaluation
    • Exploring how peers and colleagues approach evaluation opportunities and challenges
Site locations and order of the visits will be announced.

Pre-MESI Two Day Workshop (March 20 & 21)

Spring Training (March 22 and/or March 23)

NEW: Two-day and single-day registrations available for Spring Training 2017. Workshops are limited to 30 participants, please register for the workshop of your choice to ensure your enrollment. For training/skill building tracks you will be asked for your track preference at registration however, during MESI Spring Training, you may attend any track session during your one- or two-day registration.

Community Organization/Evaluation Field Trip (March 24)

Registration

Online Registration: Use online registration when registering a single person and paying with a credit card. Each registration requires a login ID and password to identify the user. If registering multiple participants for an organization, each registrant will need to provide a login ID and password to the person doing the registration process in your organization. Otherwise, please use the paper form.

Paper Registration: Use the paper registration form when registering multiple people (without a single login), registering someone other than yourself, or if there is a need to have the registration fee billed to your organization.

Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your registration, a refund, minus $40 cancellation fee, will be issued if you cancel by Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Cancellations after this date will not be eligible for a refund. Please email cceconf2@umn.edu to cancel your registration, or fax a request to 612-624-4754.

Parking

Parking information, including locations, directions, maps, and rates, is available on the Continuing Education and Conference Center website.

Hotel Lodging

Convenient lodging for out-of-town participants is available at the Radisson Hotel Roseville. Participants are responsible for making their own lodging reservations. The nightly rate is $89.00 plus tax - this special rate is only available if you make your reservation by March 12, 2017. To receive the special conference rate, please identify yourself as a participant of the MESI Spring Training. Hotel space is limited; we strongly encourage you to make your hotel reservations as soon as possible. The hotel will provide complimentary shuttle service for participants to and from the Continuing Education and Conference Center. Please indicate your transportation needs when you make your reservations.
