Master of Education (M.Ed.)/Professional Studies in Human Resource Development
Applications are due:
November 1 for spring semester admission.
March 1 for summer session admission.
July 1 for fall semester admission.
Admission requirements to this program include the following criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree with a 2.80 minimum grade point average (GPA) from an accredited college or university (GRE or MAT and graduate courses are optional evidence of academic potential).
All application materials should be submitted directly to the ApplyYourself admissions system. We cannot review your application until all of the required materials listed below are submitted successfully. GRE scores are NOT required for M.Ed. applications.

- Follow application instructions carefully, because once your application is submitted, you will no longer have access to add/change application information or upload required supplemental material.
- As your application is being reviewed, you can log back into your account to view your current application status.
- Your admission decision will also be displayed in your application account.
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Applicants are typically notified of admission decisions via email by Graduate Admissions four to six weeks after a complete application has been submitted.

|Letters of Recommendation||Two letters of recommendation required. Acceptable recommendations will come from current or former professors who
can assess your potential for graduate work. Other recommenders, such as employers, are also acceptable.

Nonnative English Speakers and/or International Students
The TOEFL, MELAB, or IELTS is generally required of all applicants whose first language is not English, regardless of U.S. Citizenship status.
Applicants who have completed 24 quarter credits or 16 semester credits (within the past 24 months) in residence as a full-time student at a recognized institution of higher learning in the United States (or other English-speaking country) before entering the University of Minnesota may be exempted from this requirement.
