Professional Development for Educators
The
Through extensive research marketing on school needs which includes interviews, focus groups, surveys and evaluations PPG helps CEHD to create and organize professional development experiences. These experiences provide a range of options such as courses, workshops, seminars, forums. PPG works with schools to customize options so that the experiences are contextualized in the goals of the school/district.
Individual educators may chose from among a wide variety of courses, certificates, additional licenses for credit or non-credit workshops options. Schools/district may work with PPG to customize a professional development model pr program for on-site cohorts. - Our Urban Leadership Academy offers multiple workshops each academic year for partner districts, with topics that cover a wide range of educational themes.
- A new initiative in web seminars will be launching this fall, bringing the world-class educational research from the College of Education and Human Development directly to teachers in a convenient and accessible method.
- A catalog of events from both the college and university will be launched soon, providing an easy search point for educators to find appropriate and relevant professional development opportunities.
- As our initiatives grow, an archive of materials will be expanded so educators can call upon past events to build future knowledge.
