Virtual Water
By Marissa Giers

NameMy name is Marissa Giers, and I'm currently a freshman at the University of Minnesota. Next year I will be enrolled in the School of Nursing, and I plan to pursue a career in upper division nursing in which I can help people on a daily basis. I'm from Winona, a beautiful little river town in southeast Minnesota. The topic for my digital story is virtual water and its implications globally, especially how its affect on water wars. At the beginning of this course, I didn't have many opinions or ideas about water; it was simply something I drank, used, and swam in! Through this course, my eyes have been opened to many different views on water and problems associated with water allocation.
