Your tax-deductible contribution for the Department of Postsecondary Teaching and Learning helps support our mission of promoting access and success in higher education for diverse students by providing scholarships. In addition, you can support the Department’s research on innovative undergraduate teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
Choose a fund
- The David Ghere Memorial Fund for Student Professional Development (#8660), to be used to support the professional development of PsTL undergraduate and graduate students so they can attend local, state, and regional conferences in their field.
- The David V. Taylor Scholarship Fund (#3861), to be used to support undergraduate freshmen entering the College of Education and Human Development, and named after former General College Dean David V. Taylor.
- The GC Faculty and Staff Legacy Scholarship Fund (#7840), to be used to support undergraduate students entering the College of Education and Human Development.
- Postsecondary Teaching and Learning Development Fund (#1137), to be used to support curriculum, research, and other department initiatives.
- Faculty and P&A Professional Development Fund (#4799), to be used to support professional development opportunities for faculty, academic professional and administrative employees.
- Support of Outreach Fund (#5544), to be used to support department outreach activities.

- Use your credit card to make a gift online. Our secure Web site encrypts all your personal information so that it cannot be read over the Internet.
- Call our secure credit card hotline at 612-626-8560. Leave your full name and phone number, type of credit card, card number, expiration date, amount of your gift, and designated recipient, if any.
- Payroll deduction is a convenient way for University faculty and staff to make a gift. Complete a payroll deduction form to make arrangements
Employer matching increases the impact of your gift. Each year more than 400 companies have matched gifts made by their employees to the University of Minnesota. Some companies may also match gifts from spouses and retirees. Search our online database or call your personnel office to see if your company has a matching-gifts program.
