Interested in becoming a literacy mentor?

We are currently hiring for the 2017-2018 school year!

If you have work-study funds and want to make a difference in the lives of children by helping them become independent readers, consider becoming an America Reads literacy mentor.

What does literacy mentoring involve?

  • Tutor in a classroom or after-school program, one-on-one or in a small group, with K-8th grade students at a local school or community site
  • Work at least 2 shifts per week (shifts are flexible)
  • Attend ongoing trainings and events
