Fall Orientation for New Students
Fall orientation is scheduled for Thursday, September
3, from 8:30
a.m. until 4:30 p.m. This orientation is required for all new M.S.W.
students. The orientation includes both large and small group
activities, and will take place in the Andrew Boss Lab – Meat Sciences
building and Peters Hall on the St. Paul campus. Registration will begin
in the Andrew Boss Lab – Meat Sciences building at 8:30 a.m., wit the
program beginning promptly at 9 a.m. Lunch will
be provided.
A field meeting will take place from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Those not enrolled
in field for fall semester will be finished at 3:30 p.m.
Parking Information for September 3rd
The State Fair will be in full swing when you come to the St. Paul campus on September 3, and you will likely encounter traffic delays and parking problems. You may want to plan to arrive early to navigate the increased Fair traffic and to find parking.
This map of the St. Paul campus shows the Andrew Boss Lab and Peters Hall. The parking alternatives include:
- Lot S101 (Commonwealth and Cleveland Avenues) - $3.75 daily carpool parking with U Card before 9 a.m.
- Gortner Avenue Ramp (Gortner and Fitch Avenues) - $6 daily parking if in before 7 a.m.; $3 hourly parking ($12 maximum for the day)
- Lot SC106 (Upper Buford Circle) - $6 daily parking if in before 7 a.m.; $3 hourly parking ($12 maximum for the day)
