The Borghild-Strand Distinguished Lecture Series is given twice yearly and exemplifies the Tucker Center’s commitment to community outreach and public education by making links to the Twin Cities metro and outstate areas. To learn more about the Distinguished Lecture Series, click here.

The Tucker Center also hosts The Tucker Table—a monthly research presentation and discussion. The Tucker Table provides opportunities for collaboration and encourages intellectual insight within the School of Kinesiology and across campus. Tucker Table is free and open to all interested parties.

In 2011, the Tucker Center held its first annual Film Festival on February 1. The event, presented by the University of Minnesota Athletic Department, kicked off the 25th annual celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) and featured the Minnesota Premiere of Sony’s “The Mighty Macs”.
