New Department of
Organizational Leadership,
Policy and Development
Effective July 1, 2009, a
new department has been created
that integrates the business and
marketing education, human
resource development and adult
education, and comprehensive
WHRE programs from the
Department of
Work and Human Resource
Education (WHRE) into the
department formerly known as
Educational Policy and
Administration (EdPA). The
name of this new department is
Organizational Leadership,
Policy and Development (OLPD).
It will offer exciting
opportunities for collaboration
and interdisciplinary education

Bring research papers with you to the fair!
Purpose
- To promote study in science, technology and business
using the context of agriculture as a basis for research
projects among high school students enrolled in agricultural
education programs.
- To promote leadership, communication and thinking
skills.
- To provide students with an opportunity to use the
scientific process.
- To provide students an opportunity to achieve local,
state and national recognition for their accomplishments in
agriscience experimentations.
- To reinforce skills and principles learned in
agriscience programs.
- To provide recruiting and promotional opportunities for
local agriscience programs.
- To provide an opportunity for students to demonstrate
and display agriscience projects that are products of their
agriscience courses.
Eligibility
Any Minnesota high school student, or team of students, who
has (have) completed at least one agricultural education class
during the 2007-08 or 2008-09 academic years and are FFA
members.
The group effort may include one student who has not
participated in an agricultural education class. However, one
student in the team must have been or is currently enrolled in
an agricultural course and be an FFA member.
When and Where
The agricultural education science fair will be held
Thursday, March 20, 2008, on the St. Paul campus of the
University of Minnesota in the atrium of the VoTech Building.
During the fair, students and teachers will have an opportunity
to meet with agricultural scientists. Lunch will be provided for
all students, teachers and guests.
Registration will be 8 to 9 a.m. The displays need to be setup
by 9 a.m. The fair will begin at 9:15 a.m.
