Arctic Transect 2004 team member Mille Porsild explains different ways of running dogs and how the whip plays a role in traditional Inuit mushing. Don't worry; it is the sound of the whip that directs the dogs, they are never touched by the whip. See the incredible accuracy mushers have with the whip as Inuit elder Simon demonstrates at the end of this video.
