I know all of the U.S. Presidents' names in order and can sing them in a song that I learned in fifth grade. I've had to make up my own tune for the more recent Presidents.
Having previously worked with youth and families in a non-social work setting, the MSW program offered exposure to the social work field. From my fellow students, I learned about many local social service agencies and I had the opportunity to experience two internships, one of which later turned into a job. Overall, my MSW program was a great opportunity for personal growth and reflection, and a solid starting point from which to begin a macro practice social work career.
