Schedule Description
All three music classes are offered within one block that is divided
into two skinnies (42-minutes each). The first half is band & orchestra,
and the second half is choir. For students in only one music class, they
have study hall or journalism for second half. Music classes are all
year long.
|
Advantages |
Disadvantages |
|
Provides more scheduling flexibility so students can fit music
classes into their schedule. |
Not
enough time for rehearsal during half a block (approx. 42
minutes). |
|
Flexibility is scheduling long rehearsals around concerts. |
Transitions between first and second half of block takes too much
time. |
| More
students are taking two music classes than before. |
|
Additional Remarks
If this school were to offer music classes on a full block, it would
demand more space, funding and staff, which are all limited right now.
