I have worked as a Research Fellow at the Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement (CAREI) since 2005. I am currently part of the CAREI team for a variety of evaluation and research projects.  I am particularly interested in K-12 education programming and policy.  I appreciate the opportunity to apply my research skills in several educational settings in both urban and rural districts. I enjoy spending time in schools and talking with students, teachers and administrators.

Some of my recent evaluation activities with colleagues here at CAREI include evaluating leadership development programs in the Saint Paul Public schools, evaluating curriculum initiatives in Anoka-Hennepin Public Schools, examining student college readiness at local community colleges, and investigating the impact of changing high school start times on students’ educational experiences and overall health and wellbeing (with a grant from the CDC).
