I specialize in the evaluation of programs designed to improve learning in K-12 settings.  My current evaluation projects include arts integration in middle school classrooms, K-3 reading tutoring, and the Minnnesota State Teacher Development, Evaluation, and Peer Support Model.  Prior to joining the staff at CAREI, I was a professor in the Psychology Department at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where I taught courses in statistics, measurement, and educational psychology.  I have also held positions as a high school teacher, an employee development specialist, and a market research analyst.  I have authored several publications on the use of Excel for statistical analysis.  In addition, I have presented numerous conference papers on topics related to student learning and evaluation of educational programs.  My avocational interests include playing the recorder, learning Spanish, and hiking.
