In-Person Trainings

CEED provides training services to parent groups and professionals in early education, health care, social services, and mental health fields.  We tailor our trainings to group and organizational needs, be it a full-day presentation for 100 or a two-hour training for staff at a child care center. Trainings can incorporate an array of training materials such as manuals, videos, and demonstrations. CEED can customize a training for your site and audience. Bridging Education and Mental Health Training

Covers topics of functional behavior assessment and relationship-based teaching models to determine what causes and sustains maladaptive behavioral patterns in young children. For early childhood professionals in education, health care, social services and mental health.

CLASS™ Trainings (3 trainings)

The Assessment Training Center at CEED offers three trainings on the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS™).

Environmental Rating Scales (ERS) Training

The purpose of the training is to help baseline staff identified by the Minnesota Department of Human Services to become familiar with the tools in order to become consultants able to work with programs to improve scores on the ITERS-R, ECERS-R, and FCCERS-R.

Individual Growth and Development Indicators (IGDIs) and Get It! Got It! Go! Training

Focuses on the IGDIs--language and literacy screening and progress monitoring tools for preschool-aged children.

Introduction to Infant Mental Health Training

Introduces the role and function of the infant mental health specialist and the use of relationship and reflection in work with families. Participants will reflect on their own careers and be challenged to determine how they can further define their roles with families.

Reflective Supervision Training

Promotes professional development by using collegial relationships to encourage the thoughtful observation of oneself and others. The content for the training will emerge from the practice experiences of the participants.

Relationship-based Work with Young Children: Engaging Families

Acknowledging that the quality of the relationship between the mother and child is the strongest predictor of developmental outcomes, this training reviews infant and early childhood mental health principles and strategies for working with young children and their families in a variety of contexts including childcare, early childhood prevention and intervention programs, and home visiting.

Steps Towards Effective Enjoyable Parenting (STEEP™) & Seeing Is Believing® Trainings

Through home visits and group sessions, STEEP™ facilitators work alongside parents to help them understand their child’s development. Seeing is Believing® is a unique practice that helps parents increase their sensitivity and responsiveness to their babies' cues by using a filming strategy.

Supporting Stressed Young Children Through Relationship-Based Teaching Training

Offers early childhood professionals from multiple disciplines the opportunity to learn how to use relationship-based practice to work with highly stressed children and their families. Participants will learn relationship-based classroom intervention strategies that will help to reduce challenging behaviors and anxiety.
