CEED

TENURED OR TENURED TRACK ASSOCIATE OR FULL PROFESSOR OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION, 50% APPOINTMENT AS CEED RESEARCH FELLOW
The University of Minnesota and the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) have a long and productive history in the area of early childhood research and development and are committed to supporting its mission of improving developmental outcomes for young children through its all-college center of leadership, the Center for Early Education and Development (CEED). CEHD is seeking candidates for a tenured or tenure track associate or full professor of early childhood education with 50% of this appointment as a research fellow in CEED. This position will provide significant opportunities for research leadership and collaboration with other faculty and staff to develop comprehensive, interdisciplinary research, teaching and public engagement programs in early education and services.

Start date 8/30/10; salary commensurate with qualifications. Applicants must have an earned doctorate in educational psychology, child development, early childhood education, early childhood special education, or another relevant discipline; evidence of strong scholarship in the form of publications in peer-reviewed outlets commensurate with the level of experience; demonstrated record of success in securing external research funding, commensurate with the level of experience, and experience in directing and managing externally-funded projects.

REFLECTIVE PRACTICE CONSULTANT, MN DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
The Minnesota Department of Health has posted a job opening as of 10/20/09 for a Reflective Practice Consultant at 60% time to will work in collaboration with current Reflective Practice Consultant.  This position is located in the Community and Family Health Division, Maternal and Child Health Section. Requires a social work license; master’s degree with endorsement in infant and early childhood mental health preferred.  Will provide specialized social work services to support a strength-based, solution-focused approach to home visiting; activities include reflective practice mentoring and reflective case conferencing with supervisors and home visitors in home visiting programs in Minnesota.  Posting closes as of 11/3/09.
 

PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST, MT. OLIVET CHILD LEARNING CENTER

Mount Olivet Child Learning Center, a faith-based early childhood program, is looking for a Program Support Specialist. This is a part-time position (possibility of moving to full-time) focusing on coaching/mentoring classroom teachers, building strong relationships with families and some administrative support. 

A strong candidate will have at least two years of hands on experience in the Early Childhood or ECFE Field and demonstrated leadership ability. B.A. or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field is preferred, but not required.  Experience with HighScope and/or Reggio is a plus!

PART-TIME NANNY, SOUTHWEST MINNEAPOLIS
Part-time nanny needed for family in SW Minneapolis. Two children, ages four and two. Days and times are flexible, but would mostly include weekdays and the occasional evening. Approximately 16 hours per week.

You: responsible, creative, patient and fun. Experience in child development and early childhood education preferred. Drivers license preferred. Light housekeeping required.

This position has the potential to be close to 40 hours per week, due to a potential “nanny-share” arrangement with family friends (also in Minneapolis, near the U of M). Their children are one and three years old.
