Science Education Degrees and Programs

Overview

Our science education degrees can lead to positions in education in schools, museums and recreational settings. The demand for science teachers at the elementary, middle school, high school, and university level is high. Science education is also an excellent field of study to consider if you are interested in an educational role in a museum, as a park naturalist, in a recreational setting, or in a leadership role as a curriculum specialist for a school district.

As part of a large, internationally recognized research institution with a strong commitment to the sciences, a pursuit of a science education degree in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction at the University of Minnesota in this area will allow you to draw upon the expertise of many faculty and staff, both in this college and other colleges within the University. Our hands-on approach to learning will prepare you to start your career with experience in the field as practicums and field research are integrated into each program.
