Minnesota Standards of Effective Practice for Teachers
The Minnesota Standards of Effective Practice for teachers describe what teachers in Minnesota are expected to know and be able to do. Elementary education foundations majors meet some of these standards as part of their undergraduate coursework and others during the post- baccalaureate initial licensure program.

Code of Ethics
Minnesota teachers must comply with the state’s code of ethics for teachers defined in Minnesota Administrative Rules 8700.7500 Code of ethics for Minnesota teachers.
