Graduation and Commencement
M.Ed. (Master of Education) Degree Completion
Students have seven years to complete their degree, beginning with the first coursework used in the program, and must maintain a 2.80 overall GPA and receive at least a C- in all classes counted towards the degree.
Final degree clearance depends on completion of all degree requirements, including the posting of final grades to the student’s transcript. As you prepare to graduate, fill out the degree completion packet for your program. Student Services clears degrees for graduation on a monthly basis. Refer to this spring 2012 timeline for deadlines
Student Services clears degrees for graduation on a monthly basis. The degree completion packet must be completed on or before the first day of the month that the student intends to graduate. Students who submit forms to Student Services after the first day of the month will be cleared to graduate at the end of the following month.
Once the degree is noted on the University transcript, the student has technically graduated. The college holds one commencement ceremony each year in May to recognize all students in the college who have graduated within that academic year.
