GradSEHD (CEHD)

GradSEHD functions to:

  • Help improve the quality of students’ academic, professional, social, and personal development while studying at CEHD;
  • Act as liaison between the students and the faculty/administration within CEHD;
  • Advocate the incorporation of student views and opinions in the formulation of policies and procedures governing CEHD and University of Minnesota;
  • Promote and fund student-initiated academic, professional, personal development, and social programs.

GAPSA

The Graduate and Professional Student Assembly serves many functions on this campus, chief among them ensuring that the University, in all of its offices, programs, schools, and departments, works in the interests of excellence in the graduate and professional experience. From curriculum changes to dining service changes, GAPSA and its coordinate councils advocate on your behalf to make the University of Minnesota the premier institution for graduate and professional education in the nation, and also try to make sure you have a smooth, supported, even fun time getting your degree.

COGS

The Council of Graduate Students is an open and democratic organization comprised of graduate students from across the University. COGS provides opportunities for graduate students to participate actively in University administrative and policy-making decisions, as well as social and cultural programming and job training. The backbone of the organization are department representatives, who are students selected by all degree-granting programs at the University. COGS also elects representatives to serve on University-wide committees and in the University Senate. Together, we represent over 10,000 students.

NAGPS

Members of Congress consult the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students regularly. NAGPS actively works to preserve and expand federal student aid and other governmental programs and policies that benefit graduate and professional students.
