2011-12 CEHD Student Board

The CEHD Undergraduate Student Board seeks to:

• be the voice for the CEHD students and organizations.
• enrich CEHD students’ learning experience
• provide academic-related services to CEHD staff and students
• provide leadership opportunities to the CEHD students.

Officers

President Nolan Anderson - Kinesiology (Pre-Med)

I am a Junior studying Kinesiology here at the U, and I serve as the President on the CEHD Undergraduate Student Board. My goal beyond my undergraduate career is to attend medical school. I am involved as a teaching assistant in the School of Public Health as well as with the Delta Chi Fraternity. For extracurricular activities, I enjoy hockey and reading!

Vice-President Brenda Senger - Kinesiology (Pre-Occupational Therapy) - Spanish (minor)

I have been apart of the Undergraduate Student Board for two years and my current position is Secretary. I enjoy being a part of this student group because it makes me feel like I am part of something positive within my college. Getting the chance to set up events and contribute to CEHD is awesome. Other then homework and working as a tutor through America Reads, I enjoy running, playing soccer (or just about any sport), reading, listening to music, and spending time with my friends and family!

Hakeem Onafowokan - Sport Management  - Leadership (minor)

I am currently the treasurer for the CEHD Undergraduate Student Board. I joined the CEHD Undergraduate Student Board to get more involved with the University and to help make a difference at the University of Minnesota. As a student at the University of Minnesota, I want to help build a strong community at the University and have a long lasting effect on the University. In my spare time, I love to play basketball, watch movies, and hang out with my friends and family.

Bryanna Garwood- Family Social Science (Couples Therapy)

I am a freshman from Joliet, Illinois, and am enjoying life at the U. I am the current Secretary of the Undergraduate Student Board. I enjoy being on the board because I like building a community among CEHD students and being involved in all the events. Besides working hard in school, I like photography and listening to music in my spare time.

Emily Heymann- Kinesiology

I am currently a freshmen planning to major in Kinesiology. I am interested in a possible career of physical therapy/sports medicine. In addition to the CEHD board, I am involved in the sports management association, pre-physical therapy club, and Camp Kesem. I enjoy running and sports in my free time.

Kelly Litsheim- Kinesiology

I am a senior and hope to attend dental school after graduation. I serve as an officer on the CEHD Undergraduate Student Board. I am also a Teaching Assistant through the School of Public Health. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, outdoor activities, and getting involved on campus.

Alyssa Melco- Kinesiology (exercise and health science)

I am a first-year student pursuing a degree in Kinesiology and Nutrition with a minor in German. I serve as the Historian on the CEHD Undergraduate Student Board. Being a part of this group allows me to connect with my college at a deeper level and to encourage others on their educational journey. I have a strong passion for fitness and leading a healthy lifestyle. I am a personal trainer at the Rec center as well as a group fitness instructor. I enjoy running, biking, rollerblading (most outdoor activities), reading, yoga, and cooking.

Katie Stoltmann- Business and Marketing Education - Retail Merchandise & Leadership (minors)

I am a sophomore and serving as the Marketing Chair & Web Administrator for the CEHD Undergraduate Student Board. I joined the CEHD Undergraduate Student Board to get involved in my college and to meet more people. My dream job is to become a retail buyer for a corporate retail store. I am from Wisconsin, and I am a huge Packers and Brewers fan. I enjoy working out and spending time with family and friends.

Abby Zierdt- Human Resource Development and Business and Marketing Education (minor in Leadership)

I am a junior and am a marketing co-chair on the undergraduate student board, so I get to make flyers and help spread the word about our awesome events! In addition to school and the USB, I enjoy running, fishing, traveling, shopping and times spent with friends and family.
