Student Admissions, Outcomes and Other Data

The following school psychology education and training outcomes are provided for prospective applicants to learn as much as possible about our program in order to make an informed choice.

Policy on transfer coursework:

Coursework from other institutions may be used to meet requirements. The work transferred from other institutions must be graduate-level (post-baccalaureate), taken for graduate credit after the award of the undergraduate degree, and taught by faculty members authorized to teach graduate coursework. In addition, courses must have been taken as an enrolled, graduate-degree-seeking student and must appear on official graduate school transcripts of the institutions.

The length of your program may be shortened depending on the number of applicable credits. Students must still meet all minimum credit requirements

Fellowships and other funding available: All graduate students in the School Psychology program receive funding from research assistantships or graduate fellowships. A full-time (.50) assistantship pays a stipend of $14,492 for 20 hours per week of work, and also covers full tuition and health insurance. A half-time (.25) assistantship has a stipend of $7,246 for 10 hours per week of work, but covers half tuition and health insurance. Anyone receiving an assistantship is also charged in-state tuition rates regardless of resident status. Some students receive various fellowships such as the Graduate Student Fellowship or the Diversity of Views and Experiences (DOVE) Fellowship, both of which cover tuition and health insurance while also paying a generous stipend. However, fellowships are highly competitive.
