Transferring into the College of Education and Human Development from outside the U of M

This page is designed to help students from outside the U of M transfer to undergraduate programs in the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD). At the time of application there are requirements specific to the program of interest that students must meet. See the links on this page to the undergraduate programs offered in CEHD for details.

You are considered a transfer student if you have enrolled at a postsecondary institution after graduating from high school and before coming to the University. If your college credits were earned while still in high school, you should apply for freshman admission.

Applicants to these undergraduate programs must submit two separate sets of application materials to:

  1. College of Education and Human Development (CEHD)
  2. University of Minnesota (Application for Transfer Admission form [.pdf])

Four to six weeks after the application deadline, applicants will receive written notification of CEHD’s admission decision by e-mail and postal mail.
