Two-day Training: CLASS Pre-K Observation Training Wednesday, November 5, 2014 | 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

4255 Third Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN

The CLASS™ is a multifaceted observation system that requires training to use it appropriately. This two-day in-person training offered by certified CLASS™ trainers covers the instrument and provides opportunities to score video segments in preparation for the online reliability testing. Additionally, participants must complete 3-4 hours of pre-training exercises and readings and schedule approximately 8 hours additional time after the training to complete the reliability testing. Passing the Teachstone online test is necessary to become a reliable CLASS™ observer. Those interested in training others to become reliable observers must attend a Train-the-Trainer session offered via Teachstone.

As a Parent Aware partner, CEED offers the Pre-K version of this training in order to build capacity for CLASS™ observations and coaching. Parent Aware is the Minnesota Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS).
