CEHD Reads: A Conversation with Author David Treuer Monday, October 26, 2015

Northrop Auditorium

Join us in a conversation with David Treuer, whose book Rez Life explores forces shaping Native American reservation life past and present, including sovereignty, treaty rights, and the preservation of native languages and cultures.

Rez Life is a subtle examination of Native American reservation life, past and present. Treuer, an Ojibwe Indian from Leech Lake Reservation in northern Minnesota, weaves individual stories with public policy to provide an evolving picture of Native American Life.

This event is free and open to the public.

The Minneapolis Institute of Arts (MIA) has selected Rez Life as their December book of the month. They will offer free public tours of works of art related to the book and its themes.
