July 6-8 the Society for Text & Discourse will host its annual meeting at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis. The group is an international society of researchers who investigate all aspects of text and discourse including processing and analysis. The Society fosters and promotes excellence in research, enhances communication among researchers in different disciplines (e.g., psychology, linguistics, neuroscience, learning sciences, and others), and contributes to the education and professional development of those in or entering the academic field. This year's conference is co-chaired by the Department of Educational Psychology’s Dr. Sashank Varma and Dr. Panayiota Kendeou, and is sponsored by the U of M’s Department of Educational Psychology, CEHD and CLA, Macalester College, Carleton College, Hamline University, and Taylor & Francis.
