Panelists:
Jason Sole is an assistant professor at Metropolitan State University. He is a national keynote speaker and gang trainer, including serving as a national trainer for One Circle Foundation. Through his firm, Jason Sole Consulting LLC, he offers juvenile and criminal justice agencies the tools they need to influence people affected by delinquency, incarceration, poverty, and other social ills. In addition, he is a 2013 Bush Fellow who is focusing on reducing the recidivism rate among juveniles throughout the state of Minnesota.
Ebony Ruhland is the research director for the Robina Institute’s Parole Release and Revocation Project and the Probation Revocation Project. She received her Ph.D. from the School of Social Work at the University of Minnesota and her M.A. from St. Mary’s University. Previously, Dr. Ruhland was the Research Director for the Council on Crime and Justice, a nonprofit agency specializing in criminal justice research, policy, and direct service. Her research interests include examining how individuals, families, and communities are impacted by crime and the criminal justice system.
Coddy Harris has over 26 years of professional experience within the correctional system in the State of Minnesota. Harris' work currently utilizes a collaborative framework in order reform juvenile justice with the primary goal of eliminating racial disparities by critically assessing the decision points of the system. Harris received a master's degree in social work from the University of St. Thomas and a B.A. in applied psychology from St. Cloud State University.
