The last CRAG (College Readiness and Achievement Gaps) Talk of this year will be Thursday, April 6, noon to 1 p.m., in 303 Coffman. Learn about recent or ongoing research around achievement gaps and college readiness. Each CRAG Talk ends with a discussion around the application of the ideas and connections with other work. Presenters and topics for the event will be as follows:

  • Abby Rombalski: Youth Activist Literacies
  • Keisha Varma: Helping Parents Help their Students with Math
  • Cynthia Zwicky:  Restorative Justice in Schools
  • Michael Harwell: Including Differences in Variability in Assessing the Achievement Gap in Reading
  • Karen Seashore: The Tole of Caring and Professional Community in Distributing School Resources and Closing Gaps
