Agricultural education
In
addition to school-based educators, agricultural education can prepare those
interested in careers in agricultural industry. The program provides an
overview of agricultural education with an emphasis on the "people side" of
agri-business; training and development, sales and sales management,
extension programs, and other agricultural-based businesses.
Program highlights
Interdisciplinary study:
The program combines the resources of the College
of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences and the
College of Education and
Human Development, two of the University's most highly regarded
academic units.
Licensure:
The college's agricultural education program is the only one in
the state that licenses agricultural educators.
National recognition:
The graduate-level agricultural education program is housed in
the Department of Work and Human Resource Education, ranked fourth
in the nation by U.S. News & World Reports.
