Career and technical education
In this program participants learn how to prepare
students for occupations such as mechanics, carpentry,
dental assistance, practical nursing, data processing, and others. The program often attracts individuals who have been working
in related fields and want to share their expertise in a classroom setting.
This program is designed for current instructors and those
preparing to instruct in technical and community college settings,
or individuals seeking a credential for workplace advancement.

Licensure preparation:
CEHD is one of only two places in the state where you can
prepare for a license to teach in technical colleges and related
high school programs.
National ranking:
The program is offered by the Department of Work and Human
Resource Education, ranked fourth in the nation for vocational
education in
U.S. News and World Report.
No application:
There is no formal application process for the career and
technical education program. However, students are strongly advised
to consult the program adviser before registering for coursework.
